NCBAN (North Carolina Buyers & Agents Network) is a home buyer referral service operated by Tony Brooks Ward, a licensed North Carolina real estate broker. This policy explains what information we collect on ncban.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you enter:

• Buyers: your name, phone number, email, the area you want to buy in, price range, timeline, property type, financing status, whether you're selling a home, and any notes you add.
• Agents: your name, NC license number, brokerage, counties you cover, phone, email, and recent closing volume.

We also collect basic technical information automatically, such as your browser type, device, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit, through standard website analytics.

How we use your information

• To match you with a licensed North Carolina real estate agent who works in the area you're interested in.
• To contact you about your home search by phone, text message, or email.
• To review agent applications and manage our referral network.
• To improve the site and understand how visitors use it.
• To comply with legal and real estate licensing requirements.

Who we share it with

We share a buyer's request only with what's needed to help with that search:

• The agent we match you with and that agent's brokerage. If that agent isn't a fit, we may share your request with a second agent.
• A mortgage lender, only if you tell us you want a lender referral.
• Service providers that help us run the site, such as our form processor (Formspree), website host, email provider, and analytics provider. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
• Authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or a licensing regulator.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Phone calls and text messages

By submitting the buyer form and checking the consent box, you agree that NCBAN and the licensed agent we match you with may contact you at the number you provided, including by text message and by calls or texts sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of buying any property or service.

• Message frequency varies with your search. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
• We do not share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics, to measure traffic and see which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

How long we keep it

We keep buyer and agent information for as long as needed to complete the referral, track it through closing, and meet North Carolina recordkeeping requirements for real estate brokers. After that, we delete it or keep it only in a form that doesn't identify you.

Your choices

• Ask us what information we have about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law.
• Opt out of texts by replying STOP, or of emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

Once your information has been shared with an agent, that agent and their brokerage handle it under their own privacy practices. Contact them directly to update or remove it.

Security

Forms on this site are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is meant for adults buying real estate. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.

Terms of use

NCBAN is a referral service. We are not a lender, and we do not give legal, tax, or financial advice. Information on this site is general and may change; verify anything important with your agent, lender, or attorney. All referrals are made broker to broker under North Carolina Real Estate Commission rules. NCBAN supports the Fair Housing Act and Equal Housing Opportunity.
